Thursday, October 26th, 2023
Mercer University’s graphic design program has been named a 2023 Top Design School by Graphic Design USA. In its 60th year of publishing, Graphic Design USA (GDUSA) released its list of the top institutions and programs that prepare students to work in professional graphic design. According to GDUSA, the selections were made using a combination of objective and subjective factors, including the publication’s decades-long relationships with designers, students, recruiters and educators.
“It’s an honor to have Mercer’s graphic design program recognized as a top design school,” said Tennille Shuster, associate professor, director of the graphic design program and co-chair of the Art Department. “This achievement highlights the strong vision and sincere efforts of our faculty and staff to create a growing program of distinction. Joining the ranks of other top schools is a point of pride for our alumni and current students, and lets potential students know that they will receive a quality design education at Mercer.”
GDUSA explains, “The theme of the selections is that education (and educators) are more important than ever in this time of challenge and change, as the lines blur between the classroom and the studio, the academy and the office, the campus and the society.”
