Friday, October 13th, 2023

Mercer University, for the seventh consecutive year, is a Champion for Cybersecurity Awareness Month, promoting online safety and privacy.

Held annually in October, Cybersecurity Awareness Month is a collaborative effort among businesses, government agencies, colleges and universities, associations, nonprofit organizations, tribal communities and individuals committed to educating others on online safety.

“We are pleased to be a part of the growing community of organizations who help promote cybersecurity awareness,” said Denise Rogers, executive director of IT Client Support Services. “In support of this global initiative, we are posting useful tips on our IT website. Throughout the month of October, these tips will be highlighted on Instagram, X and Facebook @ITMercer.”

Now in its 20th year, Cybersecurity Awareness Month continues to build momentum and impact with the ultimate goal of providing everyone with the information they need to stay safer and more secure online. The initiative is co-led by the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA) of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
