Optim Health System is pleased to welcome Michael Appeadu, MD, an accomplished interventional pain management physician, to our network of healthcare providers. Dr. Appeadu will be offering his services at two convenient locations to better serve patients in Dublin, Sandersville and surrounding areas starting mid-October 2023.

With an impressive background in the medical field, Dr. Appeadu earned his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and his Medical Doctorate from Emory University School of Medicine. He completed his internship at Kettering Medical Center and pursued a residency at the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). Further enhancing his expertise, he completed a fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine in Interventional Pain Management.

Dr. Appeadu is a distinguished member of several prestigious medical associations, including the Georgia Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, Association of Academic Physiatrists, American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, North American Neuromodulation Society, American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, and the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience.

When asked about his approach to patient care, Dr. Appeadu shared, "My goal is to provide the highest quality care to my patients by utilizing a comprehensive diagnostic approach, personalized treatment modalities, and the most advanced techniques in interventional pain management. I am dedicated to helping individuals in Dublin, Sandersville, and the surrounding areas find relief from pain and improve their quality of life."

Dr. Appeadu specializes in treating a wide range of conditions, including sciatica, arthritis and aging pain, chronic or acute pain, degenerative disc pain, herniated discs, bursitis, spinal stenosis, neuropathic pain, and much more. He also offers various procedures such as epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablations, spinal cord stimulation implants (trial procedure), nerve blocks, and image-guided joint injections.
