Friday, September 15th, 2023

The Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce, a local leader in workforce development in Macon-Bibb County, is partnering with Twiggs County Public Schools to provide students in grades 6-12 with valuable career resources designed to empower students to plan for their future careers in Central Georgia.

This partnership kicks off with a virtual event scheduled for Friday, September 15th at 10:15 AM which will feature remarks from Superintendent of Twiggs County Public Schools, Dr. Mack Bullard, as well as an overview of the Greater Career Works platform for students. Students will access the live stream in their classrooms, while the public can view the livestream on the Macon Chamber’s Facebook Page.

Greater Career Works is a web-based workforce development tool launched by the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce in 2020 to support workforce needs in Central Georgia. Greater Career Works links skill building, recruitment, and career navigation onto one collaborative platform and introduces students to various career pathways available in Central Georgia.

The Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce and Twiggs County Public Schools are committed to equipping our youth with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed decisions about their future careers. By connecting students with local career opportunities, the partnership aims to foster a sense of community pride and engagement while supporting the growth and development of the entire Central Georgia region.
