Dr. Amy Fouse, Coordinator of English Language Arts for the Houston County School District, was awarded the Jim Puckett Outstanding Educator Award from the Georgia Association of Educational Leaders (GAEL). The Jim Puckett Award is given to individuals with an exemplary record of service in educational leadership and who exhibit leadership characteristics that are considered a positive role model for others. 

Fouse has served in several roles on the board of the Georgia Association of Curriculum and Instructional Supervisors. Through her leadership, Fouse has promoted networking and professional growth among curriculum and instructional supervisors across the state.

Fouse said, “It is an incredible honor to work alongside outstanding school leaders in our District and across our state as we focus on ensuring the success of our students and advocating for public education.” 

Fouse is a proud graduate of the Houston County School District and has served families of Houston County for 22 years, becoming Coordinator of English Language Arts in 2006.
