Thomson Middle School Seeks Community Volunteers to Participate in Programs to Empower Students

Tuesday, August 29th, 2023

Thomson Middle School offers two programs to empower their students, Young Men of Thomson (YMOT) and Top Notch Tigers (TNT). These programs are dedicated to nurturing the holistic development of middle school students, encompassing physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

The staff at Thomson Middle are asking for community stakeholders to be an active participant in this group through becoming a guest speaker. As a speaker, you have the opportunity to positively influence the lives of young individuals. Stakeholders are able to share their expertise, guidance, and support these students to help equip them with essential life skills and transformative experiences.

“From sixth to eighth grade, these programs spark a remarkable transformation,” shared Loreal Jordan, Counselor at Thomson Middle School. “Our young participants grow in self-awareness, actively engage in school life, uplift their peers, and take pride in their academic journey. As they step into high school, they do so more equipped with the tools for success, which is a testament to their dedication and the unwavering support of community partners, sponsors, teachers, and advocates.”

For more information about how you can get involved with either program, contact Miss Jordan at [email protected] or (478) 953-0489 extension 3485.
