Warner Robins Sees Drop in November Unemployment Rate

Georgia Labor Commissioner Mark Butler said Thursday that Warner Robins recorded an unemployment rate of 2.9 percent in November, down three-tenths of a percent over the month. A year ago, the rate was 2.8 percent.
"We are seeing job numbers continue to rise across the state as Georgians secure employment,” said Commissioner Butler. “Unemployment rates also dropped in regions throughout Georgia in November as we entered the holiday employment period.”
The labor force decreased in Warner Robins by 393 and ended the month with 86,651. That number went down 1,477 when compared to November of 2021.
Warner Robins finished the month with 84,122 employed residents. That number decreased by 112 over the month and decreased 1,558 when compared to the same time a year ago.
Warner Robins ended November with 79,900 jobs, an all-time high. From October to November, job numbers rose 400 and when compared to the same time last year jobs rose by 900.
The number of unemployment claims went down by 27 percent in Warner Robins in November. When compared to last November, claims were down by about 13 percent.
Employ Georgia, the GDOL’s online job listing service at employgeorgia.com showed about 1,444 active job postings in Warner Robins for November.
