Thursday, January 19th, 2023
STARBASE ROBINS will host the 17th Annual Central Georgia FLL Super Regional Qualifier. This is a qualifying event for the Georgia FIRST Lego League State Tournament. We are expecting twenty-four teams to compete in this year’s event. Teams advancing from our tournament will attend the state tournament at Georgia Tech in February. This year’s theme, “Super Powered” has the teams reimagining the future of sustainable energy and addressing the global challenges related to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #7 -- focused on ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all. The Central Georgia FLL Super Regional Qualifier will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the Museum of Aviation in the Century of Flight Hangar from 9 am – 3 pm. We will have food vendors and food trucks onsite. The event is free and open to the public.

About STARBASE ROBINS: STARBASE ROBINS is a Department of Defense premiere STEM educational program located at the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins, GA. Our purpose is to broaden the interest of students in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). Our year-long program focuses on at-risk fifth-grade students concentrating on the basics of aviation and space exploration with hands-on learning activities. For the last twenty-five years, STARBASE ROBINS has enhanced and supplemented STEM education in the Middle Georgia area. During the past few summers, STARBASE ROBINS has offered several summer academies using the Lego Mindstorms/EV3 Robotics kits. We offered these academies to see students enhance their interest in problem-solving and engineering techniques. STARBASE ROBINS is sponsored by the Air Force Reserve Command.
