Choice Premiums, a Macon-based promotional products company, celebrates fifteen years as a WBENC business. This certification reflects the business's status as a women-owned business committed to diversity and inclusion.
This certification comes from the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), a non-profit that has set the gold standard for women-owned businesses. Established in 1997, this organization provides world-class education, programming, and resources to help women entrepreneurs thrive. WBENC helps companies view diversity as an asset that can fuel progress and growth.
"We believe diversity in the workplace is key to creativity and innovation," Lynn Lavery, Choice Premiums' president, said. "Our team is diverse in age, gender, race, education, and experiences. This allows for unique perspectives to influence our strategies, encouraging inventive, out-of-box solutions for our customers."
Recent innovative strategies include focusing on products that attract Millennials and Gen Z. From employment to enrollment, these two generational groups are crucial to organizational success. And with 85% of people who receive a promotional product choosing to do business with that company, the shift has been a successful one.
"Our knowledge of the market has been invaluable to our clients," Lavery said. "We know what resonates with their target audiences while offering quality products and expert customer service."
This customer service is enhanced by the company's diversity. Employees can assist customers in a more personal way thanks to shared experiences. Choice Premiums also understands the challenges businesses face when managing a diverse team. These insights improve the customer experience.
"Good-looking products aren't enough," Lavery said. "Understanding our client's challenges and motivations is crucial. We want our products to create lasting impressions that actually help organizations reach their next level."
