Macon- Bibb County...I-16/I-75 Interchange Improvements Projects I-75 NB Traffic Will Shift onto New Roadway Construction Sunday Night

What: Construction on new I-75 northbound lanes is complete between Hardeman Avenue and the I-16/I-75 interchange in Macon-Bibb County as the I-16/I-75 Interchange Improvements Project continues. Contractors for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) will open the two new roadway lanes to traffic this Sunday, shifting traffic from the existing lanes onto the new, permanent roadway alignment.
On-site signage will alert drivers approaching the area of the traffic shift in advance and direct them through the new open lanes.

Overnight (after 9 p.m.) on Sunday, December 18, 2022, weather and on-site conditions permitting
