Christmas in Downtown Offers Holiday Fun for the Whole Family

On Saturday, December 10 from 2pm to 6pm, NewTown Macon will host Christmas in Downtown in partnership with Just Tap’d Macon and Fall Line Brewing Co.

Christmas in Downtown is Middle Georgia’s largest family-friendly Christmas festival celebrating small businesses. The festival features free hot chocolate, selfies with Santa Claus, music, and holiday crafts.

Activities during Christmas in Downtown take place from 2pm to 6pm at various locations throughout downtown Macon. Locations of activities are listed below:
Letters to Santa and Pop-up caroling at the Rookery (543 Cherry St.)
2:30pm -Christ Church Choir
3:30pm -Otis Redding Foundation Student Showcase
4:30pm -Vineville Academy
Pine cone ornament craft and Santa Bingo cards at NewTown Macon (555 Poplar St.)
Paint your Own Ornament ($3) and free hot cocoa at The 567 Center for Renewal (456 First St.)
Free selfies with Santa at Just Tap'd (488 First St.)
Elfie Selfies at The Bohemian Den (502 Cherry St.)
Make your own dried fruit ornament station at Just Tap'd (488 First St.)
Christmas cookie and beer flights at Fall Line Brewing Co. (567 Plum St.)
Hot chocolate and cookies to-go ($5) at Pearl Passionate Cuisine and Cocktails (470 First St.)
Christmas-themed cookie and cupcake decorating at Felicia's Cake Factory (365 Third St.)
Ornament station at Macon Clay (364 Second St.)
Visit Macon will offer letters to Santa and hot chocolate (450 MLK Jr. Blvd.)
Sidewalk sale at Carrie's Bridal featuring short bridal gowns and robes (369 Second St.)
Make reindeer food at the Burrow (609 Second St.)

Additionally, downtown-goers can dash through downtown and complete a Christmas-themed scavenger hunt for the chance to win a 12ft inflatable Santa! Interested participants can pick up the Dashing Through Downtown clue card from NewTown Macon at 555 Poplar Street. Upon completing the scavenger hunt, participants should return their clue card to NewTown and will be entered into the drawing for the 12ft Santa.
