Houston County Schools Celebrate Family Engagement Month in November
Tuesday, November 8th, 2022
The Houston County School District will celebrate Family Engagement Month throughout November to recognize the important role families play in a student’s education. The celebration highlights opportunities available for families to engage in partnerships to improve student academic achievement. In support of this statewide initiative, Houston County’s Title I schools are offering family activities throughout the month.
In addition to November being Family Engagement month, National Parent Involvement Day is November 17. Project Appleseed established National Parental Involvement Day in 1994. Ten million family members across the nation participate each year. The day reminds students and parents that learning does not only happen in the classroom.
