Dublin VAMC Held Onboarding Surge Event

On Wednesday, November 16, 2022, Carl Vinson VA Medical Center hosted a day-long employee onboarding event to continue to streamline the hiring of 64 new employees and 49 internal hires that begun at the start of the fiscal year, to find ways to speed up the process for future recruits.
“Today, we brought together a team of human resources specialists, service chiefs, and medical center leaders to “push packages through” for individuals who have already been hired to fill key staff roles but have not yet completed requirements to start working,” said, Medical Center Director Manuel M. Davila.
Onboarding Surge Events are focused on fast-tracking selectees’ pre-employment actions into a single-day event while identifying and bridging hiring gaps between Human Resources, hiring managers, and leadership.
