For over 21 years, I have been blessed to lead Macon Occupational Medicine (MOM). I am proud you’ve chosen us to be your trusted occupational medicine partner and thank you for allowing us to play such a vital role on your team. 

We have always focused on the belief that the “health of your business may depend on us,” and that core tenant has guided our journey since May 14, 2001. Hopefully, you agree that we live up to our purpose and have made a positive difference in the growth of our community.

As we look toward the future of how Macon Occupational Medicine can serve you, I’m excited to announce that on October 1st, we will officially transition to Macon Occupational Medicine, a division of Piedmont Urgent Care. I am pleased to have found a strong, like-minded company who I can entrust with your care and the care of Macon Occupational Medicine.

Georgia-based Piedmont is a private organization who has helped fuel the growth and protect the health of our state through safe, high-quality care close to home. Their integrated healthcare system will provide a hassle-free and unified experience. For more than a century, Piedmont has been caring for patients and caring about them. They have a great reputation for providing healthcare services in a genuine, respectful, and heartfelt way with treatment by some of the world’s best doctors using state-of-the-art medical technology.

It’s important to note that this change will have little to no effect on you. Through Piedmont Urgent Care, MOM’s existing service delivery model will remain in place from our primary location. In addition, this partnership will enhance our 24-hour network through an exclusive connection with Piedmont Urgent Care clinics. This means you will now also be able to use Piedmont Urgent Care clinics for your occupational medicine and worker’s compensation needs. MOM’s primary location hours will remain unchanged, and you will be able to utilize Piedmont Urgent Care locations in Macon and throughout the state for after hours and weekend care.

It’s no secret why our area has enjoyed better than average growth over this past decade. Middle Georgia has a strong workforce, and our Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development groups are very pro-business and forward-thinking. In my opinion, perhaps our greatest strength is our openness to welcome businesses, organizations, and people to our community.

I am forever grateful for the two decades of support you have given MOM. Please join me in welcoming Piedmont Urgent Care to the team as the new leadership group for Macon Occupational Medicine and continuing that support. I am excited about this next chapter and am confident you will continue to be in great hands.
