Goodwill to Hold Career Fair in Macon

Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia, Inc. (GIMG) is holding its Fall 2022 Career Fair at Anderson Conference Center (5171 Eisenhower Parkway in Macon) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on October 25. The in-person event is open to job seekers and employers in our community and will host numerous corporate, government and nonprofit agencies to promote their seasonal jobs, internships, and career opportunities in a variety of fields. Employers and community resources scheduled to be on-site include Work Source Georgia, All Ways Caring HomeCare, CertiTemp, Macon-Bibb County Economic Opportunity Council, Star Staffing Solutions, The Methodist Home, Tyson Foods, Wiregrass Resource Group, as well as career and education services through Goodwill, Job Connection and Helms College.

“Our career fairs are one of the ways we fulfill our mission to help people build lives and strengthen our community,” said Leah Pontani, senior vice president of career development. “We’re not only creating an opportunity for employers to connect with job seekers; we are showing how Goodwill is a partner in the entire career development journey, from education to staffing services.”

In the last five years GIMG served more than 69,000 people, placed 28,000+ people into competitive employment, and had a $952 million positive economic impact on the 35 Georgia and South Carolina counties it serves.
