OPEN STREETS MACON RETURNS THIS SUNDAY!
Pleasant Hill will leap to life as people traffic replaces car traffic from 2 PM to 5 PM on Sunday, October 2nd.
Open Streets is THIS WEEKEND in Pleasant Hill, from 2-5 pm! Here’s everything you need to know before you go:
-
Open Streets Macon is FREE and open to people of all ages and abilities. Even if you have no clue what exactly Open Streets is, come! We promise you'll like it!
-
It’s not a race, and you don’t need a bike to participate. You can walk or skate to your heart’s content.
-
We encourage you to get to Open Streets Macon by bike or by foot. If you have to drive, then with friends/family is always best. Street parking and other options are identified on this google map.
-
There’s no beginning or end. Start and end anywhere!
-
Remember to bring sunscreen and water.
-
Join us for the Open Streets Macon Bicycle Parade at 2:00 PM. Meet near Jefferson Long Park to decorate your bike, then join Bike Tech for a fun, slow-roll bike parade through the route!

Bike Walk Macon is partnering with Andrea Cooke to install a sensory sidewalk pathway at the entrance of L. H. Williams. The pathway will be designed by L. H. Williams art teacher, Char Lockett.
