As part of Atrium Health Navicent’s commitment to improving maternal health and expanding access to quality health care, obstetrics and gynecology services are now being offered in Forsyth at Atrium Health Navicent Women’s Care OBGYN.

“Annual well visits and prenatal care are essential to women’s health, but women living in rural areas often face barriers in having to drive long distances to receive quality care,” said Dr. Felisha Kitchen, an Atrium Health Navicent OB-GYN and director of clinical practice for women’s services. “With Atrium Health Navicent now offering obstetrics and gynecology services in Forsyth, women living in Monroe County and the surrounding area have access to a women’s care specialist close to home.”

Dr. Vincent Fang will begin by seeing patients on Wednesdays at the office located at the Monroe Medical Complex, located at 120 N. Lee St., Suite C in Forsyth. A graduate of the University of British Columbia, Fang completed his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Atrium Health Navicent. His clinical interests include contraception and family planning, general obstetrics and gynecology, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, robotic surgery, menopausal health, endometriosis and pelvic pain.

Monroe County Hospital, an Atrium Health Navicent partner, is available to serve residents of Monroe County and the surrounding area. The hospital, located at 88 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Forsyth, provides general medical and surgical care for inpatient, outpatient and emergency room patients.

Services include a 24-hour Level III emergency department, inpatient care, laboratory, radiology, respiratory therapy, skilled nursing care, speech therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy.
