The Methodist Home for Children and Youth is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year, and Middle GA Podcasts has just released a special audio podcast to honor this important milestone.

“The Methodist Home at 150” explores the beginning of the home, located on Pierce Avenue since it was founded in 1872. This podcast includes interviews with members of the leadership team and the chair of the board of trustees at the home.

Three alumni of The Methodist Home share stories about their life-changing experiences while they were residents. In addition to the home’s mission and history, the podcast details some of the more-recent services and programs offered to residents, as well as the communities they serve in Macon, Columbus, Americus, Valdosta, and St. Marys.

The podcast, “The Methodist Home at 150,” is now available for on-line listening or downloading, free, at www.middlegapodcasts.podbean.com . This podcast was produced by Middle Georgia radio veteran Ben Sandifer, a 2016 inductee in the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame, and 8 time “Gabby Award” winner from the Georgia Association of Broadcasters.
