Macon Volunteer Clinic is hosting two walk-in patient enrollment events, 9:00 am to 11:30 am, on Friday May 20 and Tuesday May 24, at 376 Rogers Avenue. All new patients enrolled at either of these events will be entered into a drawing for a $50 Big Lots gift card.
MVC’s services are at no cost to Bibb and Twiggs county residents who qualify. Eligibility criteria are: (1) ages 18-64; (2) earn no more than 200% of the Federal Poverty Level; (3) be a resident of either county; (4) have no medical insurance, and (5) be actively working in some capacity.
To be confirmed as eligible and scheduled for a first appointment, individuals should bring: photo ID and social security card; employer letter stating they work and are not enrolled in the employer health plan; 2 most recent payroll slips; 2 pieces of mail to confirm residency; and 2021 tax return. Self-employed individuals may bring a profit & loss statement and a schedule C.
A medical home to eligible patients, Macon Volunteer Clinic offers free primary care, dental care, non-narcotic prescription medication assistance, cancer screenings, gynecology, dermatology, orthopedics, neurology, laboratory analyses, x-rays and other diagnostic services and mental health counseling.
