Staff Report

Monday, May 23rd, 2022

Commencement ceremonies for Houston County School District high schools will be held May 27 and 28, 2022.  All five ceremonies will be held in Perry at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter in Reaves Arena. Each graduate will receive 12 tickets for graduation. Tickets will be required for entry into Reaves Arena.

The graduation commencement schedule is listed below. Doors will open one hour prior to the start of each ceremony. Please allow plenty of time to park and find a seat inside of the arena before ceremonies begin. Perry High and Warner Robins High will use Exit 134 and park at the West Gate. Houston County High, Northside High, and Veterans High will use Exit 135 and park at the North Gate. Guests requiring handicap parking will enter through the North gate with their decal prominently displayed and park in the courtyard behind the Georgia Grown Building.

Safety is our number one priority! To provide a safe environment for our graduates and their guests, the Houston County School District has implemented new guidelines limiting the types of bag allowed at graduation ceremonies. All bags must be clear and will be subject to inspection. Small purses under 4.5”x6.5,” diaper bags and medical bags are allowed, but are also subject to inspection. Thank you for your cooperation as we celebrate our graduates!  For more information, visit https://www.hcbe.net/bagprocedures

Items such as balloons, chairs, coolers, noisemakers, posters, flyers, tripods, and umbrellas will not be allowed in Reaves Arena. Anyone with these items will be asked to take them to their vehicle.
