GDOT District 3 Awarded a Total of 7 Projects

In March 2022, the Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) District 3 awarded seven projects.
The first investment is a project in Coweta County located at SR 11 / SR 241 and will be a construction of a new roundabout. The contract was awarded to Baldwin Paving Company, and the approximate cost is $3 million.
In Muscogee County, there is a resurfacing construction on State Route 22 Spur from east of SR 1 to the east of Barbara Road and bridge replacement over Weracoba Creek. The project is worth approximately $7.25 million, awarded to C.W. Matthews Contracting Company, Inc.
In Houston County, a pavement marking project on various county roads. The project is worth approximately $260,000 and was awarded to Reeves Construction Company. The project includes pavement markings upgrades and shoulder rehabilitation.
In Lamar, Sumter, Upson, and Webster Counties, there is a safety signing and pavement marking upgrades at various railroad crossings. The project cost will be approximately $325,000, awarded to Peek Pavement Marking, LLC.
In Talbot County, a resurfacing project is located at State Route 90 from SR 22 to CSX Railroad Crossing and State Route from Carter Road to Adams Road. The project will include 1.928 miles of milling, inlay, and plant mix resurfacing. The project cost will be $3.5 million and was awarded to Robinson Paving Company.
In Troup County, there is a bridge construction project including 0.336 miles of construction of bridge construction and approaches on US 27/SR 1 over Flat Shoal Creek. The project cost will be $6.2 million and was awarded to C.W. Matthews Contracting Company, Inc.
In Upson County, a safety project includes intersection improvements at various locations. The project cost will be $3.4 million and was awarded to Quality Construction by McLeRoy, Inc.
