Bren Powell: A Contemporary Artist Using An Ancient Medium

Bren Powell is Macon Arts Gallery’s featured artist for May 2022. She uses fire, wax, and pigment in a process called Encaustic Painting. The artist hopes that,”patrons view the exhibit and realize we can take a medium that is over 2000 years old and give it new life in 2022”.

The show will open with a First Friday reception on May 6th, from 4 – 7 pm. Free and open to the public.
