Goodwill of Middle Georgia and the CSRA announced today that it will be responding to the heightened needs in Poland and other countries bordering Ukraine by providing financial support to the International Rescue Committee (IRC), which is aiding millions of displaced refugees. On Sunday, April 24, 25 percent of sales from all 16 retail stores will be given to the IRC to provide immediate aid and vital supplies to displaced children and families. The revenue will help provide food, medical care and emergency support services to families whose lives are shattered by conflict in Ukraine.

“While Goodwill is organized to serve the people in our region of Georgia and South Carolina, the spirit of our mission is without borders,” said DeWayne Cuffie, Chief Mission Integration Officer for Goodwill of Middle Georgia and the CSRA. “It is a humanitarian calling to serve all people in need to the best of our ability. We hope the proceeds of our Ukraine Day can provide some assistance to the Ukraine people until there once again is peace in their country.”

As part of its charitable mission, Goodwill of Middle Georgia and the CSRA is mobilizing the power of its local community in to respond to the urgent and growing humanitarian crisis and support the millions of refugees displaced by this terrible war.
