Macon Little Theatre’s Little Shop of Horrors: The Musical Opens This Weekend

Macon Little Theatre (MLT) opens Drama Desk Award winning and Grammy nominated Little Shop of Horrors: The Musical this weekend. Based on the cult classic movie musical, Little Shop of Horrors is the tale of a downtrodden community that is visited by a unique plant from beyond the stars. This hit musical features music composed by Alan Menken in the style of early 1960s rock and roll, doo-wop and early Motown, and includes several fan-favorited tunes, like the title song, "Skid Row (Downtown)", "Somewhere That's Green", and "Suddenly, Seymour".The featured show opened on Friday, March 25, and runs through Sunday, April 3. 

"Little Shop is a toe-tapping cult classic with a 60s rock style and a sci-fi theme that is an amazing live experience," said MLT artistic director JP Haynie.

"Based on the cult classic film, and with songs that will get your toes tapping, Little Shop of Horrors is a must see hit musical with amazing talent on display.  You are not going to want to miss this smash hit from Macon Little Theatre!," said Haynie.

A special press only preview is available this Thursday, March 24, at 8 p.m. The Macon Little Theatre artistic director and board members will be available for interviews.
