Trees Planted, Dedicated to the Crayton Family
Thursday, November 4th, 2021
Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful, the Arbor Conservation Board, and Macon-Bibb’s Parks & Beautification Department will plant and dedicate two Yoshino Cherry Trees in Carolyn Crayton Park on Thursday, November 4 at 10:00 a.m. They are being planted near the locomotive at the entrance to the Park.
The trees are being planted and dedicated in memory of Carolyn Crayton’s late husband and her son who recently passed away. Speakers will include representatives from Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful, the Arbor Conservation Board, Macon-Bibb County, and Carolyn Crayton.
“We want to recognize Carolyn Crayton and her family for their decades of dedication to the beauty of our community, and increasing the number of trees in our parks and along our roadways,” says Jean Bragg with Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful. “This is just one way we can say thank you to them…a way that will let people know how much they mean to our community.”
