Kids from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Georgia have organized a canned goods food drive. The youth are collecting canned goods and nonperishable items that will be donated to the Loaves & Fishes Ministry of Macon for the week of Thanksgiving. These donations will help provide Thanksgiving meals for local patrons that the Loaves & Fishes Ministry of Macon serves. The community is encouraged to support the kids’ initiative by donating canned goods and nonperishable items to the two Bibb County Club locations that are holding the drives. The public is invited to help each club meet their goal and expand the impact of the food drives.

Clubs Accepting Donations: 

Murphy Felton Tindall Unit: located at 841 Anthony Road, Macon, GA 31204

King Danforth Unit: located at 1301 Shurling Drive, Macon, GA 31211

Both locations are open Monday-Friday from 10:00am-7:00pm. Donations should be brought inside.

Acceptable Donation Items: 

• Canned goods (vegetables, fruit, beans, Vienna sausages)
• Bottled water 
• Individually wrapped items or snacks 
• Non perishable items

Donations will be accepted now through November 17.
