Today, Mayor Lester Miller along with other community leaders and local guests welcomed the Georgia-based non-profit organization Beyond The Bell to its new location in Macon-Bibb County, located at 3115 Vineville Avenue, Macon, GA 31204.

“Today marked a new beginning as Beyond The Bell was welcomed into Macon Bibb-County with open arms. We believe that the programs and practices we will share with the youth of Macon-Bibb will Change the trajectory of their lives for the better,” said Executive Director Sandra Dean. “We would like to thank Mayor Miller and the Beyond The Bell Coalition members from the surrounding counties for coming to support our ribbon cutting event.”

Beyond The Bell, along with the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities and SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) provides tools and evidence-based strategies to train, educate, and support youth and families in the prevention of alcohol, marijuana, and tobacco use and abuse.
