Mercer University Featured Among The Princeton Review’s ‘Best Colleges’ for 19th Consecutive Year

Wednesday, September 1st, 2021

Mercer University is among the nation’s best institutions for undergraduates according to The Princeton Review®. The education services company profiles and recommends Mercer in the 30th edition of its annual college guide, The Best 387 Colleges, released today.

Only about 14% of America’s 2,700 four-year institutions are profiled in the book. The Best Colleges are selected based on data collected from administrators about their institutions’ academic offerings. The Princeton Review also considers data it gathers from its surveys of college students who rate and report on various aspects of their campus and community experiences.

“We salute Mercer for its outstanding academics, and we are genuinely pleased to recommend it to prospective applicants searching for their ‘best-fit’ college,” said Rob Franek, editor-in-chief of The Princeton Review and lead author of The Best 387 Colleges.

In the profile on Mercer, The Princeton Review editors praise the school for providing “boundless opportunities for its undergraduates.” Students surveyed indicate that Mercer provides “an inviting, stimulating atmosphere for its students” with faculty who, as one student says, “have absolutely floored me with their enthusiasm, intelligence and willingness to help.”

The University’s service-focused mission aims to produce graduates who “make positive changes in their local community and the world,” and students describe their peers as “full of energy, enthusiasm and drive.”

The Princeton Review does not rank the colleges in the book from 1-387. Its school profiles are posted atwww.princetonreview.com/best387, where they can be searched for free with site registration.
