Macon-Bibb Holding Annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony
Thursday, September 9th, 2021
On Friday, September 10 beginning at 8:45 a.m., Macon-Bibb County will hold its annual event to remember the 2001 terrorist attacks and honor the first responders that protect our city and country on a daily basis. The Ceremony – sponsored by the Macon-Bibb Law Enforcement Foundation – will be held at Public Safety Memorial Park (at the intersection of Mulberry Street and First Street) in Downtown. The Ceremony will be broadcast live at www.facebook.com/maconbibbcounty.
“This year marks the 20th year since these tragic events. We hold this ceremony each year to honor the men and women who gave their lives to protect our community, as well as remember and honor the people who lost their lives during and after the attacks on 9/11,” says Warren Selby, with the Macon-Bibb Law Enforcement Foundation. “It has been two decades, but we will never forget.”
