On Tuesday, July 13, 2021 Mayor Pro Tem Seth Clark and Commissioner Al Tillman are collecting cases of water at the Brookdale Warming Center (3600 Brookdale Avenue). The water will be donated to guests at the Center.
Mayor Pro Tem Clark and Commissioner Tillman will also match every bottled water donated to the Center. People can drop off their donations from 1 - 5 p.m.
"This is a great opportunity for everyone to get involved and do something that may seem small, but will make a huge difference to so many people in our community," says Commissioner Tillman. "We want to make sure no one goes thirsty, especially this time of year."
“The best thing about Macon is that we take care of each other. There are hundreds of people at Brookdale fighting to put their lives back together and during these hot months, they need us," says Mayor Pro Tem Clark. "Dropping a case of water by the center is how you can be the difference. That’s why this matters to the folks at Brookdale and to us. Lord knows they and this community are worth it.”
