Coliseum Health System Updates Visitation Policy
Tuesday, June 15th, 2021
As the number of COVID-19 cases in middle Georgia continues to decline, Coliseum Medical Centers and Coliseum Northside Hospital have adjusted their visitation policy. As of Monday, June 14, the hospitals will allow up to two visitorsper non-urgent/emergent patient at a time.
Visitors and non-urgent/emergent patients must be masked at all times and must verbally confirm the following statements prior to entering:
-
I agree to wear a mask at all times while in the facility.
-
I have not had contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19, or thought to have COVID-19, within the last 14 days.
-
I have none of the following symptoms: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, muscle or body aches, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea.
Visiting hours are between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily, but there may be times when the length of visits must be restricted or suspended for patient’s safety and comfort. Patient recovery is always the primary concern.
Emergency room patient visitation has not changed; ER patients can have one visitor 24/7 unless the decision has been made to admit, then visiting hours of 8am-8pm daily will apply. Additionally, no visitation is allowed for confirmed or suspected COVID-19 patients in all areas. We recommend and encourage virtual communication with loved ones through the use of digital platforms and apps. Our staff is happy to assist patients and their families with virtual visitation if requested.
