Allied Arts will host two separate six-week Spring sessions of Zumba® Kids –one hosted virtually and the other in person at Allen’s Market. Classes will take place once per week on Thursdays and is open to children aged 5-12.

The live - virtual session will begin Thursday, March 18th and will take place weekly from 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. The in-person session at Allen’s Market in downtown, Milledgeville will begin Thursday, April 8th and will take place weekly from 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. in Allen’s Market.

Dance styles learned will include Salsa, Reggaeton, Merengue, Bollywood, Bhangra, hip-hop, and pop music. Donita Crowder, a certified Zumba® instructor, is excited to teach children the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and activity. Zumba® Kids classes feature kid-friendly routines based on original Zumba® choreography. Crowder will break down the steps, add games, activities, and cultural exploration elements into the class structure. The class will help develop a healthy lifestyle and incorporate fitness as a natural part of children's lives by making fitness fun. Students will improve their key childhood development elements like leadership, respect, teamwork, confidence, self-esteem, memory, creativity, coordination, and cultural awareness. Crowder says she is “so excited to help children develop a love for fitness and dance while introducing them to music and dances from around the world.”

The cost for the six-week session is $35. If you would like to sponsor the cost of attendance for a child or know of a child in need of sponsorship, please reach out to Allied Arts. Interested parents can visit www.milledgevillealliedarts.com to register and pay online.

Allied Arts will be taking strict precautions against the spread of Covid-19 and will expect students/parents to follow all guidelines. Aside from mask-wearing, 6-ft, distancing, manual sanitization of commonly touched surfaces, and additional protocols, Allied Arts has invested in a sanitization fogger that will be used before and after each class; the fogger sanitizes even soft/upholstery surfaces.
