Stepping Stone Child Advocacy and Sexual Assault Center in Dublin recently received a grant from the Morris Bank Community Foundation for $15,000 to help fund several renovations and updates to their facility. The center also received $2,356.04 in proceeds from this year’s Shamrock Your Ride community event, hosted by Morris Bank.

“We are overwhelmed and blessed at the generosity of Morris Bank as the recipients of the Community Foundation grant and the St. Patrick’s event this year,” says Stepping Stone Executive Director, Brooke Woods.

Stepping Stone is a non-for-profit organization that assists abused children, adults, and families by providing a variety of services, including forensic interviews, parent support services, legal advocacies for victims, a 24/7 crisis hotline, and much more. These services are provided at no charge to the patients and are used to help restore victims of abuse, in addition to advancing community awareness and education on abuse and sexual violence.

The Morris Bank Community Foundation was formed in 2017 and exists to help support and sustain local organizations within the communities they serve. Simply put, Morris Bank wanted to give back to the communities that have allowed them to grow. Through this program, financial grants are awarded to strengthen and support organizations such as local schools, community and faith-based institutions, government institutions providing public services, non-for-profits and other 501(c)(3) organizations.
