Numbered golf balls will be dropped from a helicopter over the Luther Williams Field on May 4th, 2021. The public is invited to purchase a numbered golf ball for their chance to win big. The number that lands closest to a center target will win $10,000 in cash. Cash prizes ranging from $2,500-$250 will also be given to 2nd-8th places and to the ball furthest from the target. Participants also have the chance to double first place prize money to $20,000 by purchasing a limited pink ball. Any proceeds will go to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Georgia, who have clubs in Bibb, Houston, Candler, and Monroe counties.

The drop will take place on Tuesday, May 4th at 6:00 PM with the gates opening at 5:30 PM. The public is invited to watch the drop at Luther Williams Field, which is open air and allows for spaced seating. Prizes will be available to the best Star Wars-themed costume. The drop can also be viewed online through a live virtual stream on the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Georgia’s Facebook. Participants do not have to be present to win.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Georgia, with the help of Macon Bacon, are determined to raise $100,000 to help benefit club members’ scholarship program. For information on how to become a sponsor, please contact Rachelle Wilson at [email protected].
