Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority recently retained VisionFirst Advisors to develop an economic development strategic plan by assessing Macon-Bibb County’s economic development competitiveness. The plan and the process will allow our community an opportunity to review our efforts and determine where and how we can improve our job creation and economic vitality efforts.

Reassessing our economic development strategy is even more important as the community, state and nation begin to recover and reopen from COVID-19. We must understand how our economy will change in the face of this unprecedented pandemic.

For the Industrial Authority’ efforts to be successful, it is important to hear from members of the community. The survey gives you, as a resident, the opportunity to provide feedback on the role of economic development, what type of growth and industry is best suited for the community and the quality of life in the county.
