“Navicent Health works with community partners to address the factors that impact the health of individuals and families, including food insecurity. Many people have been adversely affected by COVID-19 through lost work and lost wages. This is an opportunity for our teammates to show they are aware of and address the needs of our patients and community. Our first event was a great success, and we’re excited to join our partners for a second event to address nonclinical healthcare needs,” said Kerisia Wasztyl, LMFT, manager of Healthy Communities, Navicent Health.
The first mobile food pantry event was held on Friday, July 31, 2020 at Family Health Center, Navicent Health. The partners distributed 25,000 pounds of food to approximately 1,800 individuals representing approximately 600 families at the July event.
Due to novel coronavirus (COVID-19) safety precautions, this is a drive through event. Recipients may not walk up.
