WHAT:    Citizens - Heart of Georgia Chapter participate in #buylocalandgive challenge

Employees from Georgia Power in Macon are making a difference in the community during the COVID-19 pandemic. While employees have been unable to complete indoor hands-on volunteer projects during this time, they found a way to support those working on the front lines during the pandemic by participating in Buy Local and Give challenge.

As a token of their appreciate, the members of Citizens-Heart of Georgia Chapter bought food from Fall off he Bone restaurant and donated it to the hardworking and dedicated staff at North Central Health District, Bibb County Health Department and Jones County Health Department.

The challenge serves as a great way to not only say "thank you" to the heroes working on the frontline, but also as a way to support local restaurants that were affected during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Heart of Georgia chapter has challenged the Columbus Citizens chapter to also participate in the #buylocalandgive challenge.
