At the Dublin Rotary Club meeting on Friday, June 26, former club president Jack Walker stepped down and welcomed incoming club president Will Curry. 

“I am fortunate to have my father, Louie Curry, as a past president, Jack Walker (immediate past president) as a mentor over the past year, a qualified board of directors and officers, and a club that is willing to give me the opportunity to serve as the 2020-2021 Dublin Rotary Club President,” said Will Curry. 

Lock Wilford will serve as president-elect, Beth Crumpton will serve as secretary, Josh Wells will serve as Treasurer, Heath Taylor will serve as sergeant-at-arms, Ashlee Torpy will serve as Community Service Director, Ted Short will serve as International Service Director, George Best will serve as Member Service Director, Brian Bowles will serve as Vocational Service Director, Leigh Ann Tribble will serve at Youth Service Director and Jack Walker will serve as immediate past president. 

Curry kicked off the 2020-2021 club theme: Rotary Opens Opportunities, which asks Rotarians to create opportunities that strengthen their leadership, help put service ideas into action, and improve the lives of those in need.  

“To Jack, the past Club officers, directors, and the past presidents, thank you for leaving the Club better than you found it.  We have a strong, vibrant club, capable of accepting the challenge - especially in this unique place in time – divisiveness in politics, fears of the coronavirus pandemic, stock market fluctuations, civil unrest and protests, high unemployment, and uncertainty in our global markets and trade partners.  However, as a diverse 124 member club representing different ethnicities, religions, sexes and political opinions, we have an undeniable opportunity to affect positive change in our community, our state, and our nation,” said Curry.
