Wesleyan Announces New Board of Trustees President

Wesleyan College welcomes ten-year board of trustee member Amy Rauls to the position of chair. Amy works with her husband T.J. and sons in their family business, John-Wesley Villas, Inc., where she served as executive director for twenty-five years. Presently, she serves as vice president of Southeastern Retirement which manages branches of the family-owned retirement communities in Macon, Savannah, Marietta, Raleigh, and Pensacola.

A native of Tennessee, Amy attended the University of Tennessee, Nashville campus. She attended Mercer University after moving to Macon in 1976.  She currently serves on of the Macon Rotary Club board as past president and the Georgia Rotary Student Program as a trustee. She is a member of the Magnolia and House and Garden Club. She has served on the Foundation Board of the Methodist Home for Children and Youth, Alzheimer’s Association, and as president of Wesleyan’s board of visitors. Amy and TJ are active members of Martha Bowman Memorial United Methodist Church. The Rauls have three grown sons and six grandchildren.

Andrew Nations hands over the gavel after serving as chair for the last three of his fifteen years on the board. A Macon native and CEO of B&D Industrial, Andy has been an exemplary leader at Wesleyan and the College is forever grateful for his service. Andy and his wife Carolyn have been married for forty-four years and have three adult daughters and seven grandchildren.

James C. "Cal" Hays, Jr. of Macon was named chair-elect.
