CGTC’s Adult Education Division and Middle Georgia Community Food Bank to Host Food Drive June 19th
Wednesday, June 17th, 2020
The Adult Education Division at Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) is partnering with Middle Georgia Community Food Bank on June 19, 2020 to hand out food bags via curbside pick-up.
The food drive will take place on the College’s Macon campus in the K-Building parking lot. Food pick-up hours are from 12:00 to 3 p.m.
iHeart Media and Honeybaked Ham will co-sponsor the event and provide gift certificates, total valued at $50 to 60 random food drive attendees.
The Adult Education Division of the College has a distinct role in the community. By providing adults in central Georgia access to GED® testing, soft skills training and job preparedness, the Division often enhances its mission by partnering with community organizations like the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank.
The College, as well as its Adult Education Division, have implemented social distancing guidelines for COVID-19 as suggested by state officials and the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG).
Anyone visiting the CGTC campus to pick-up food is highly encouraged to remain in their vehicle and await instructions from volunteers.
The CGTC Macon campus is located at 3300 Macon Tech Drive.
