Coliseum Northside Hospital is pleased to announce that Olivia McCarty, RN, has been named as the new director of the medical/surgical unit located on the third floor of the hospital. In this role, she will focus on quality initiatives, nurse development and patient care experience.
 
Over the past nine years, McCarty has served in various leadership roles at Coliseum Health System. Most recently, she served as the Clinical Coordinator for the Emergency Room at Coliseum Northside Hospital. Her priorities of clinical excellence, patient care, and nursing education quickly earned her the respect of physicians and staff. Prior to joining the Coliseum Health System, McCarty served in multiple nursing roles for over 13 years. She has two sons and is an avid West Virginia University Mountaineers fan.
 
McCarty said, “It’s been an honor to serve the patients of Middle Georgia through my work in the emergency room at Coliseum Northside Hospital. I look forward to transitioning to our inpatient unit as we continue to care for patients as if they were our own family.”
