Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia (RMHCCGA) is pleased to announce the RMHC Cherry Blossom Road Race will take place Saturday, March 28, 2020, with an 8:30 a.m. start time. The race location will be at GEICO, located at 4295 Ocmulgee E Blvd E, Macon, GA.
RMHCCGA President and CEO Bonnie Hopkins said, “When the opportunity presented itself for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia to assume the production of the Cherry Blossom Road Race we couldn’t resist. For several years we have hosted the Red Shoe Run to benefit our House, and now we look forward to producing the Cherry Blossom Road Race as an officially sanctioned event of the 2020 Festival. We anticipate that the event will be very successful and are delighted to serve as the organizer and beneficiary. The timing couldn’t be better as we prepare to open our Expansion the same month that will double our capacity to serve families.”
This year’s road race will feature a 5K and 12K course and be part of the Macon Tracks Running Club and OrthoGeorgia Race Series. The cost for the event will be $25 through March 15 and $30 March 16 through race day. Registration is open! Please use the following link to register on line.

Cherry Blossom Festival President and CEO Stacy Moore describes her excitement with the new partnership, “We are thrilled to partner with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia to raise awareness and funding for their very important mission. The Festival wishes their event tremendous success and is thankful for the addition to our programming! It’s also a bonus that GEICO is involved since the Cherry Blossom Parade, which featured Ronald McDonald as the Celebrity Marshal in 2019, is presented by GEICO.”
