Rogers Named to Central Georgia Region 5 EMS Council

Liana Rogers, EMS Liaison and Emergency Management Coordinator for Coliseum Health System, was recently appointed to the Central Georgia Regional 5 EMS Council. The regional EMS council serves an important role in the planning and development of emergency medical services in Central Georgia.
In her current role, Rogers serves as a liaison between Coliseum Health System and emergency medical services providers. She also leads the health system’s emergency preparedness training efforts. She is an adjunct instructor in the Emergency Medical Technician and Paramedic programs at Central Georgia Technical College. Rogers is a licensed paramedic and also served in the U.S. Army Reserves as an operating room technician.
Rogers also serves on Georgia Hospital Association’s Region F Critical Incident Stress Management Team and as the chairperson for the EMS for Children program for Region 5 EMS. She is also involved with the region’s Trauma Advisory Committee, Macon-Bibb County EMA and the American Heart Association. She is a certified CPR instructor and regularly teaches Stop the Bleed classes to the community and law enforcement officers.
