The Arc Macon is proud to announce its 12th annual NYE Big Bash, Presented by WGXA.  This event will take place on Tuesday, December 31^st from 7:30 p.m.–12:30 a.m. at the Historic Macon Terminal Station, located at 200 Cherry Street in Downtown Macon. The organization’s largest fundraiser of the year, The Big Bash raises funds to support the nonprofit’s mission to empower people with differing abilities to live, work and thrive in Middle Georgia.

The event’s largest fundraising push will focus on raising money to purchase a new lift van to make transportation more accessible for the adults supported by the organization. The need for accessible transportation within Middle Georgia is dire, as the organization does not receive any funding for transportation, forcing them to utilize their accessible lift vans well past the traditional vehicle life cycle. Many vehicles in their fleet are over 10 years old with well over 180,000 miles each. Without access to transportation, many of these individuals would not be able to access their community or live full, inclusive lives.

The Big Bash is a BYOB party, including a silent auction and dance party featuring Macon’s favorite party band, The Grapevine Band. This year’s silent auction will feature luxurious trips to NYC, Tuscany, and Napa Valley. Event tickets are $40 for table seating, $30 for general admission (no table seating), and tables of 8 are available for the discounted price of $300. Big Bash tickets can be purchased at thearcmacon.org. Attendees typically wear something that will allow them to sparkle and shine on the dance floor. Many attendees typically bring a rolling cooler with drinks and finger foods (drink setups, such as ice, cups, and soda mixers, are provided).
