Z Beans Coffee and Coliseum Medical Centers are proud to announce the opening of Z Beans Coffee café inside of the main lobby of Coliseum Medical Centers (located at 350 Hospital Drive in Macon.)  Z Beans at Coliseum will officially open on Wednesday, October 16 at 5:00 a.m.  Normal operating hours will be 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily. The menu will consist of various coffees, espressos, teas and smoothies.  They will also serve sandwiches and pastries.

In 2016, Shane Buerster, Founder and CEO of Z Beans Coffee, traveled to Zaruma, Ecuador with a group of Mercer University students.  Their goal was to research new ways for the people of the El Oro region to economically support themselves.  After he returned to the United States, Shane started Z Beans and began importing Ecuadorian coffee.

Buerster says that not only can you enjoy a cup of coffee, but you can learn more about the lives and stories of the farmers themselves.   Buerster said, “At the core of Z Beans mission lies the ultimate goal: to help as many farmers in the El Oro region of Ecuador as we can.  I have lofty goals for the future, but I am most excited for the opportunities Z Beans will bring to the people of Ecuador.”

Kelly Lindsay, Chief Operating Officer at Coliseum Medical Centers said, “We are honored to partner with a mission-minded company like Z Beans, whose mission parallels ours – commitment to the care and improvement of human life. When a locally based company succeeds, it’s beneficial for the entire community and we are excited to be a part of the expansion of Z Beans.”
