Macon and Houston Counties Lane Closures on Georgia 26 Through October for Roadway Resurfacing and Shoulder Rehabilitation

Crews will be resurfacing 18 miles of Georgia 26 from Stagecoach Road in Macon County to the US 41 intersection in Houston County through the end of October, 2019. They will also be rehabilitating the shoulders.
To accommodate the crews and their large equipment, a lane of traffic will be closed around the work zone as they move up and down the highway. Signal flaggers will be stationed to direct motorists to utilize the remaining lane of traffic. Drivers should be alert to the signal flaggers and follow their directions, They are also urged to drive slowly through the work zone for safety.
