The Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce and the Macon Economic Development Commission will honor outstanding businesses, industries and young leaders for their exceptional contributions to the community at the Business & Industry Awards Luncheon on October 22, 2019.  Please nominate an outstanding business, industry or individual in the following categories:
 
Business of the Year

Any business or industry located in Macon-Bibb with 26 or more employees that has been operating for a minimum of 5 years. **
 
Small Business of the Year

Any business or industry located in Macon-Bibb with 25 or less employees that has been operating for a minimum of 5 years. **

Evaluation Criteria for Business & Small Business Awards:

Company's direct and/or individual employee volunteer participation in education, civic and/or charitable organizations.

Demonstration of company's effort to be environmentally conscientious and other examples of the company's corporate citizenship in the Macon-Bibb County area.

Positive and creative workplace environment.

Components that make the nominee stand out among other businesses.

Startup of the Year

Any entrepreneurial venture (business or industry) located in Macon-Bibb that has
been operating for 1 to 3 years. **

Evaluation Criteria for Startup Award:

Company's direct and/or individual employee volunteer participation in education, civic and/or charitable organizations.

Positive and creative workplace environment.

Components that make the nominee stand out among other businesses.

Outstanding Young Business Leader

Must be 35 years of age or younger, working in Macon-Bibb. Must have made a significant impact in the growth of their business and/or a significant investment in
the Macon-Bibb community. **

Evaluation Criteria for Young Business Leader Award:

Must be 35 years of age or younger.

Must be working for a business located in Macon-Bibb County

A professional with strong leadership, vision and a measurable contribution to the growth of their business and/or the community.

**Eligibility**

All nominees must be located in Macon-Bibb County.

Non-profit organizations are not eligible to participate.

Recipients who've won within the past 5 years are not eligible to participate.

Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce membership is not required.
