The Carl Vinson VA Medical Center will host a town hall meeting at the American Legion Post 3 in Macon, Ga., for veterans, their families and other stakeholders June 20 at 6 p.m. to discuss the Maintaining Internal Systems and Strengthening Integrated Outside Networks (MISSION) Act and get feedback on how the medical center can improve.
According to Dublin VA Medical Center director David Whitmer, the medical center holds town hall meetings for its stakeholders every quarter to ensure they have a regular forum for making their opinions known and to keep them updated on VA’s developments.
“We are able to hear the Veterans’ concerns directly which helps us to improve our service,” Whitmer said. “This particular set of town halls will focus on VA’s newest program – the MISSION Act.”
This will be the first town hall in a series over the next two months. Director Whitmer scheduled town halls for each of Dublin’s six Community-based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) in middle and south Georgia.
Tables will be set up with information on VA and medical center programs.
