Milledgeville Exchange Club to Present Scholarship to CGTC

Members of the Milledgeville Exchange Club will join local leaders, and administration at Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the Health Sciences Building of the Milledgeville campus to present a check to the College’s Foundation for the creation of a new scholarship aimed to help students fund their tuition and offset program costs.
This Milledgeville Exchange Club Scholarship will be awarded each fall and spring semester in the amount of $250 to one eligible student per semester. In the event that a student has enough financial aid to cover tuition and fees, scholarship funds may be approved to purchase educational-related expenses, such as program supplies or tools related to the program.
The Milledgeville Exchange Club is a service organization deeply rooted in Milledgeville, focused primarily on community outreach and the prevention of child abuse. The organization is comprised of 23 active members who are dedicated to providing the resources needed to obtain a quality education.
Representatives from the College’s Foundation, Dana Davis, vice president for Satellite Operations, Hank Griffeth, CGTC Board of Trustee member and city planner for Milledgeville, Tori Allen, president, and president-elect, Jeffery Wells, of the Milledgeville Exchange Club are scheduled to be in attendance at the presentation.
