Fairview Park Hospital and community partners are providing a free Stop the Bleed Community Workshop on Thursday, May 30 from 1 pm – 2:30 pm at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center. The public is invited to attend. To register for the event, visit www.surveymonkey.com/r/DublinCommunityResilience.
The Stop the Bleed—Bleeding Control for the Injured course will demonstrate and educate on the new nationwide initiative to empower individuals to act quickly in order to save lives. The program is designated to enable participants to provide immediate, potentially life-saving medical aid to victims of bleeding emergencies while they are awaiting the arrival of professional responders.
“The information shared in this presentation is not limited only to those in the healthcare field,” says Lynn Grant, Trauma Coordinator at Fairview Park Hospital. “Like CPR, we want everyone to know how to respond in the event of a life-threatening injury.” Anyone from teachers, courthouse officials, parents, and equipment operators are all encouraged to join us for the trainings.
